Country gates & barriers are a family run company based in Manchester.

We are specialists in the supply, manufacture, installation and maintenance of automatic gates in high quality aluminium, wrought iron and solid wood.

All of our gates are designed with the finest attention to detail and we offer a bespoke service where our gates can be tailor made by our skilled craftsmen to suit the customers’ individual requirements.

Our Showroom

In Bredbury, near Stockport our new showroom is now open and is the home to a fantastic display of products of gates showcasing all designs and finishes.

Within our showroom in Stockport, we have a huge selection of our gates as full-sized working displays, which are automated using swing and sliding gate systems.

The quality of the materials, the sturdy build, the attention to detail, the different finishes. But to truly understand what makes our gates so unique, you need to see things for yourself.

We also have large wall-mounted displays showing all of our automation and access control products, which would enable us to tailor-make an entire system for you – you would be very welcome should you wish to visit us.

We are very proud of the product & services we offer, which I am sure you will realise as soon as you come to see us.

The showroom is open Monday to Friday 8AM-5PM or at weekends by pre-arranged appointment.

Health & Safety

Country Gates & Barriers is an affiliated member of the DHF – Powered Gate Group. This means that we must abide by all current health and safety law in order to ensure that our installations are safe and cannot cause harm to a person.

Accidents can & have been known to cause serious injuries and even deaths. As a result the owners of unsafe systems, (mainly due to lack of training or poor installation), can face prosecution as a result. With the necessary expertise, these accidents are avoidable.

We take the safety of all automated gates very seriously. Our Engineers undergo continuous, comprehensive training to ensure your installation is carried out to the highest possible standards.

All automatic gates, should comply with the following:

Machine Directive – 2006/42/EC
Radio Equipment Directive – 2014/53/EU
Electro-Magnetic Compatibility Directive (EMC) – 2014/30/EU

To ensure compliance with these directives, our company uses codes of practice and guidelines from the DHF, including the current gate guide and the recent TS 011:2016.

Country Gates & Barriers also conforms to the latest BS12453:2001 legislation and all implications for the installation and operation of powered gates.
